Source Analysis for C#: custom rules and more

When community likes something, it really becomes involved – and community likes Source Analysis for C#!

Today, less than a month after the tool is released there is already a lot of community content available (and I do not mean “tab vs space” war blog posts ;).

First, there is series of blog posts on authoring custom rules for Source Analysis tools. While I did not create any custom rules yet, I can attest to the fact that the object model appears quite simple to use (some of it I have used in check-in policy).

Secondly, there is interesting initiative on integrating Source Analysis tool with ReSharper for real-time source code analysis.

And lastly, when you will start thinking about developing your custom rules, read this post on how to unit test your custom rules.

More stuff’s coming!
